Reds10 Client Testimonial

Reds10 Client Testimonial

Our client Reds10 is part of the team delivering the Net-Zero Carbon Accommodation Programme (NetCAP) for MOD and the British Army. The wider programme, which Reds10 delivers alongside the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Landmarc Support Services, is part of a multi-million-pound investment to transform the lived experience for our Armed Forces. The programme is set to deliver 70 carbon-efficient buildings, which will mean more than 3,900 new bed spaces, across ablutions and drying rooms all in one modern complex, removing the need for troops to move around different buildings. After an intense bidding process, Intertech was awarded the contract r the supply of decoration and joinery services.

Project description

Working on numerous buildings as part of the programme, our work involved the application of a tape jointing system followed by a fully decorative finish, including emulsion to walls and gloss to woodwork. In addition, our experienced team of joiners also installed and certified the fire doors throughout the building.

Specification

The internal paint system specified was Dulux paints, and the colour scheme ‘Signal White’ offered a natural, clean and fresh look to the interior of the buildings. The installation of fire doors was carried out following the door manufacturer’s guidelines, all of which were certified by our BM Trada accredited operatives, with all associated certificates submitted to Reds10.

‘Intertech impressed us with their flexibility on what is a pioneering, fast-paced programme, often delivering several buildings at the same time, They were a pleasure to work with, and Reds10 values their dedication to providing the best result for us and, more importantly, the Armed Forces’ – Paul Ruddick, Chairman, Reds10

Fire Door Checks

Fire doors are required in every building except the inside of people’s private accommodations according to the requirements of the relevant national fire safety regulations. It is crucial that fire doors are installed correctly by approved and certified fire installers, and an ongoing maintenance schedule is in place.
