We survey and fit intumescent strips and smoke seals, certified hinges and closers, correct gaps and compatible glazing, because an FD30 or FD60 door performs only when every component is certified and correctly installed. In listed properties, upgrading an existing door — new seals and certified ironmongery — often restores performance without removing historic joinery, which we favour wherever a survey shows it will meet the standard.
