Fire door responsibility flows from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which names a responsible person for non-domestic premises and the communal parts of residential blocks, with the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 adding scheduled checks in buildings over 11 metres.
